Odd ducks, Emerson, and an invitation

Hello loveys!

Thanks for being here.

I just want to pop in real quick and say HELLO!

Back in the day, I sent a joy letter every single Friday for a dozen years. When I started back up again sending these short love notes, I thought maybe I would send a little something EVERY DAY. Ha! I am glad I didn't. I receive daily notes from a few folks who I love, and yet I do not open them. Why? Too busy? I don't know. We humans are odd ducks, aren't we?

So .... HELLO!

If you are local, please join us for a Summer Solstice Gathering on JUNE 21 - on the lake! Read about it and sign up HERE.

If you are not local, pop into the Midwest sometime this summer. Tis glorious. I would love to see you.

That's it for today. I have stockpiles of essays to send you, but they all seem so long. I am in the mood for short and sweet this fine day.

How about an Emerson quote to read every day before you hit the hay?

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. This day is too dear to waste a moment on the rotten yesterdays. Write it on your heart that this time is a very good one, if we but know what to do with it.”

Much love,

Kelly

“Few people know how to take a walk.

The qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes,

an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity,

good speech, good silence and nothing too much.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson
