I wrote this musing on 12/22/22 and posted on Facebook to good response. Probably because of that photo of all the cardinals! (There’s more than the pic can capture.)
We moved into our current home one year ago, 12/21/2021, an easy date to remember! My frequent moving has become a bit of a joke to my family. They take bets on how long we’ll stay at a place.
In 13 years together, my HoneyMan and I are on our 7th home, so sure, that’s a lot of moves. I have crazy cool stories for each one; manifestation magic + miracles and synchronicities to blow your brains (I can regale those tales another time).
What was interesting was that I was asked: Do you think you finally found the right place now?
Huh? That gave me pause. They ALL have been the right place. Every home was the right thing at the time. When it no longer was right, we released with love and moved on. Seems simple and obvious to me. We are not “searching” to “finally find what is right.” We live in flow, always steering by what feels right.
I wasn’t always tuned in to that. Once upon a time, I was on autopilot, cruising along on the same-old- same-old, unaware that anything could be different. How many of us stay, be it a house, a job, a relationship, a friendship, even when it no longer is right??
If your soul is waking you up to new and different possibilities, take notice. If your clothes don’t fit, you don’t keep wearing them. Look at life like one big wardrobe. What feels good now? Enjoy that.
My biggest life lesson has been all about releasing with love. And opening up to what is next. It is always amazing.
How long will I stay at this home? Maybe forever. Maybe not. I don’t think about it. I just follow where Spirit leads. And right now, the cardinals are showing us they are very happy we are here.
Wish I had your outlook on letting go when it comes to considering a move. My last move was such an ordeal that I am inclined to stay put forever!
So much letting in, and so much letting out. The flow of life offers new possibilities if we are open.
