Joy is NOT frivolous

Facebook memories revealed Dec 3, 2009, was my first joy event. So I jotted this quick post:

ON THIS DAY, Dec 3, 2009, a Thursday, I rented the Briggs Mansion in Rockford, a beautiful place all decked for the holidays, and hosted my first event I called JOY: A Luncheon.

The backstory of my dress I wore that day I've shared a lot in years past. Nutshell: buying that dress was the beginnings of following my intuition, my guidance. Wearing it that day for the first time ever (years after I bought it) was serendipity. As was renting a mansion and welcoming people to "my" grand home for a day.

I was divorced, leaning into my JOY with such deep trust. So much goodness happened that day. Including meeting James Simmons. Another long story short, we married a year and half later, May 1, 2011, and I wore that dress for the second and only time.

Following YOUR JOY probably does not include buying a pink dress or renting a mansion (maybe it does!), but it will absolutely 100% lead to a fulfilling soul-led life. JOY is not frivolous. It is divine guidance. It is the soul path, the light of love directing us to be our highest and best. That is how impact others too. That is how we cultivate peace. And you can wear anything you want!

THEN ANOTHER MEMORY, which prompted this blurb: My first corporation, formed in 2011, (and trademark - I went all in!) was JOY BEYOND YOUR DREAMS. My one and only tattoo is the small word JOY on my wrist. (That's when people started calling me KellyJoy; my given middle name is Marie.)

I have come to realize that JOY, for me, is actually my spirit guide team. Following JOY got me through divorce and off anti-depressants, to creating many a biz and program, and a happy life with a ZenMan, and now opening a meditation and sound healing and energy activation community center.

Every step of the way, the guiding force was following my joy. Not surface level feel-good fleeting feelings. Deep true soul level. True alignment. So that’s why it is 100% fitting to have a JOY EVENT this month at our new center on Main St in Roscoe.

The young vivacious brilliant Mary Lacey Banks is hosting a Winter Glow Up Party for gals of all ages, 13 and up, to step back into honoring their joy. To know that living from joy changes everything.

MLB will share some of her story, and teach us some real-world SKILLS to access, honor, and embody joy, have a few refreshments, DANCE, and feel good in our skin. Not just for a Friday night, but every single day.

Please grab a mother, a daughter, a friend, a stranger, and make a date with us. We will shake off the old ways of should, duty, and obligation, and open to our birthright, which is JOY. Your mind, body, and soul thank you!

There were two more joy memory-jogs today too (!), but those can wait. This note is long enough. (But I guess I needed a big dump of joy-reminding today!)

December is a month of emotions, for sure. Next Sacred Sound Immersion is December 20 for Winter Solstice. If you want a private sound bath just for you, my cozy room is set up.
