Summertime and the livin' is easy

Happy Hello to you!

I’m still enjoying my summer sabbatical-of-sorts. Doing plenty, for sure, but also lots of time of quiet beauty.

We celebrate two years at our current Joy House today and we love it so much. This home is not fancy – and perfect for us.

I used to love fancy; chandeliers in every room and my favorite color was bling. Now I am French Country floral all the way. Our yard is also simple, full of birds, critters, trees, flowers, and no neighbor squished up against us. My kind of paradise.

I can walk down my driveway to endless pretty. Left up the hill, loop that neighborhood twice and back home is two miles. I can go right, up that hill, (I love hills) and walk to the little lake and wind through the treed neighborhood where inevitable sightings of deer and turkey await. I can walk straight across the street through the neighbor’s yard (we have permission to do so) to the forest preserve paths and little creek.

Yep. Heaven. Just sitting in my yard, front or back is heaven. When I was young, I was a go-go-go gal. Never could I have predicted how much I love being a homebody.

To be able to have a flexible schedule is also a blessing and one I do not take for granted. Being retired is fantastic, yet, we have a sound healing studio, kids and grandkids (Our Sweet 16 girl, and our 10 months-30 pounds of joy boy) and peeps we love, and online communities we are part of, and life life life. Retired is a misnomer.

August will keep the summer schedule for Access SOUL. Things will pick back up again in September.

We were thrilled and delighted to be invited to present a sound bath at the International Association for Near Death Studies (IANDS) Annual Conference this year. Last year they were in Chicago, but we could not attend as we were already booked at a retreat in Wisconsin.

This year, the conference is in Washington state late August. We wanted to make the cross-country drive with all our sound bowls and gongs and instruments (we have a joy van now), but Spirit said stay home. And we shall.

Locally, we are thrilled and delighted to present a sound bath at an upcoming women’s half-day retreat. I invite you, and please invite anyone you know, for a morning of Breathe & Lead.

This is the second year that Dr. Tabassum Nafsi has put on this event. This year the date is

Sat, Aug 22, 9am – 1pm at the Prairie Street Brewhouse event venue, Rockford.

Also, we are thrilled and delighted to present sound healing at the inaugural Greater Rockford Area Counseling ExpoThis 9am to 2:30pm conference with lunch included is Tuesday, Oct 6, and also at Prairie Street in Rockford. We will be there all day sharing info and be doing sound baths three times throughout the day.

ALL counselors, therapists, mental health workers, social workers, psychologists, any school, clinical, private practice folks – come to this event! Again, I invite you, and please share with those you know. (The registration fee is only $47! Just $35 for grad students.) https://www.counselorhq.net/grace

We welcome invitations, from your organization, company, school, church, mental health agency, event, conference, retreat etc.

We also welcome your private groups to our place for sound baths. Be it staff, clients, friends, family, your book club, whatever. Let us guide you to deeper relaxation and healing, on all levels.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for being here. Thanks for being a spot of safety, love, and encouragement for those in your sphere. It matters. Every eye contact matters. Every little bit of listening matters. Every small kindness matters.

Onward we go in love.

In joy,

Kelly
