"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." —John Lubbock
Perhaps you can allow yourself some rest, some stillness, some watching the clouds float across the sky this July.
Simple enjoyments. Quiet pleasures. Time without devices.
I am still on summer-sabbatical-of-sorts mode. Not wanting too much on the schedule. Feeling very mellow and content. Grateful. Blessed.
My JOYS include:
Bluebirds, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Goldfinch, House Finch, Woodpeckers (3 kinds), Nuthatch, Orioles (they're gone now), Hummingbirds, Rose Breasted Grosbeak, Chickadee, Junco, Cowbird, Robins, Doves, and all the other birds whose names I am forgetting/or don't know who enjoy our backyard feeders. We love having you.
May this summer be a time for simple joys, be it your backyard or wherever you find yourself.
Much love,
In Joy,
Kelly
