January Past + January Present

Last January at this time, we were in Sedona. I was at the Channel Panel taking workshops with Daniel Scranton, Lyssa Royal Holt, Neil Gaur, and Darryl Anka, among others. Jim went hiking and had a mystical experience which cracked him open. Quite a spectacular trip.

A few Januarys ago at this time, we were in Florida at Michael Singer’s Temple of the Universe. He is the author of The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment, two books we highly recommend. We attended the New Year’s Eve and New Years Day gatherings there, and went back later in the week for a teaching  session too. Quite a spectacular trip.

Michael Singer built his humble meditation building in 1975, no way knowing what it would become – a place where people from all around the world, of all religions or no religion, come together to meditate (and yoga) to experience inner peace. Very inspiring.

Meeting Mickey Singer resonated deeply. I wanted to have a place surrounded by nature and offer free meditation gatherings. So we did, in our way, from our home, for years. Now we have an actual building. Well, it’s not ours, and it’s not surrounded by nature, but it is a place where people of all faiths or no faith come together to meditate to experience inner peace.

There is something powerful and palpable when we come together. Lots of people come to us who have never meditated before, and/or never meditated with others. EVERYONE feels the difference. There is magic when we gather together. Goosebumps. Laughter. Tears.

Never in a million years did I think I would ever be someone who meditated, let alone lead groups. I am so grateful that life is full of surprises!

When I was in college, I loved English, reading and writing, so I got a degree in English because I loved it. I didn’t want to be a teacher, so I got an Accounting degree too in order to be practical and get a job.

My job out of college was with the IRS (!). It was not my happy place. Later down the road, I did end up teaching -- English as a Second Language, which was a true joy. I have since taught all kinds of classes on all kinds of things, and teaching workshops is one of my favorite things.

Life is a winding road, for sure.

Where will we be next January? I have no idea. I have a hunch we will be in Roscoe, offering meditation gatherings and all kinds of workshops. Or maybe we will be in the south of France, hanging with Mary Magdalene. (Don't worry, our practitioners will keep AccessSOUL.)

I have long stopped trying to predict life, and just started living life.

God/Universe/Source/Spirit has more wonderous things for me than my little pea-brain could ever conjure.

We can never see what's around the bend, so how about we enjoy the journey every mile along the way. The view is incredible.

Quite a spectacular trip.

Much love,

In service to Spirit.

Tune in to what’s going on in your heart;

do it often; do it for as long as you can.

Everything that you want is contained within that space. You have the ability to focus there, and now is the time to demonstrate it to yourself.
