"If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough."
~Meister Eckhart
Hello luvs! I believe GRATITUDE changes our mood and changes our vibration. And when we raise our frequency, it affects the entire collective.
Â
Here's an old blog post from Feb 2016.
Â
On December 1, I started writing a thank you note every day. Not all of my notes are able to go in the mail though. My first note was to France. A lot has happened in my life since that year living there and I am forever grateful.
Â
Expressions of gratitude have been jotted to my bedroom, sunroom, Facebook, Charles Dickens, and the apple tree in my backyard when I was a kid that I used to sit in and read.
Â
I’ve written a thank you to my journal, and to plenty of humans too, of course. Some that I know, some that I do not. Some have written a thank you in return.
Â
It makes my day every day to do this practice. I do not have a premeditated list and I'm not doing the usual go-in-order of parents, kids, family, friends, etc. I am totally letting Spirit guide.
Â
Emotions well up in me as I write for some. With some, I laugh. With all, I feel gratitude and that, after all, is the point.
Â
Gratitude changes us. It softens us.
Â
Being in the energy of appreciation shifts the whole day. And I love surprising myself with who/what bubbles up for the day’s note. Writing to an apple tree? Never would have predicted that one.
Â
Maybe this experiment resonates with you. You can write long hand and snail mail. You can email. You can write in a journal to those people or things that do not have a mailing address. Dead authors and that old plaid couch from the first college apartment don't have forwarding addresses.
Â
Take ten minutes and reflect on someone or something that you are thankful for and craft a note. If only in your head, that counts too. Let it surprise you. Let it change you.
As always, I am thankful for you.
Â
In Service to Spirit.
Much love.
xxKelly
